Physics Nobel Prize 2007
2007 Nobel Prize in Physics goes to the giant magnetoresistance discovery in 1988 by Albert Fert (Université Paris-Sud in France) and Peter Grünberg (Forschungszentrum Jülich in Germany). I don’t know much about this GMR thing. Apparently it leads to new hard drive technologies. Neat.
