Federer wins French Open
Congrats to Roger Federer for the 14th Grand Slam title, at Roland Garros!
Expectations were high. Pressure was on him to win this trophy. Federer succeeded. After hard-fought wins over Haas and Del Potro. He was solid in the Final, beating Robin Soderling, the hard hitting Swede, 6-1, 7-6, 6-4.
It’s been a long, long time coming. Must be an amazing feeling to accomplish this goal. It’s been a tough stretch since last year’s Final. The long wait and recent struggles just make this victory sweeter.
Morning run
Had bread with peanut butter (Jif) with a bit of honey before heading out for a morning run. Went around a small loop on neighborhood streets. Didn’t like this route so much due to the traffic, hard pavement, and sometimes stray dogs. But it was conveniently close. Good to get a run in, then be able to come home and quickly take a shower.
Just did a short run (~ 25 min). Sweated profusely as usual.
Good way to start off a day.
