“In my life I do a lot of things but I never forget my training. Athletics is in my blood. The top priority must always be training, training. This is a discipline. You have to do it.”
–Haile Gebrselassie

Got to stay home today. First day of the long holiday (Songkran). Drove mom to the bank, and then the airport. The car got rear-ended on the way there. Got some scratches on the bumper. We weren’t hurt. Accidents are part of driving. No big deal.

After a wet evening yesterday, it’s hot again today. No rain. Went to Prueksachat Park in Nawamin soi 10 to run. Started at around 10:40am. It was already warm by then. Just saw one other runner out there. He was fast.

My left knee felt slightly weak today. The pain wasn’t as bad as before, but I could still feel it. I gutted out a few miles around the 800m loop before it felt too hot to run (T ~ 32 C). Soaked in sweat afterward. Should get up earlier tomorrow.

One should eat soon after a hard workout to help the body recover. I was stuck in bad traffic on the way home. Only had water in the car. Next time it would be a good idea to bring some snack along.

Lastly, pic of a cute little Chihuahua at the park today:
