Reflections on the Grind

thoughts on training and life of an introvert

Tried out a new route this morning. Went along Kaset Nawamin and looped into Amornphan, Senanikom area. It’s good to explore. Gotta slow down due to traffic and street dogs though. It was also hot. I really miss cold weather in the US.

Though there were many cars and dogs, they really weren’t major factors in my slow pace. My left hip/glute area is still injured. So I can only do slow runs these days. Can’t push the intensity at all. I don’t want to make it worse. At this point, my goal is simply to show up healthy at the starting line.

Another good weekend of sports. Last night Man City won again. I hope they keep winning to challenge Premier League’s top 4 (Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea). They have pretty good attacking front (Adebayor, Robinho, Tevez, Wright-Phillips, Ireland), but their defense really hasn’t been tested by big clubs.

At Cincinnati Masters, Federer won his match, finally beating Andy Murray. He will face Djokovic in the Final. Let’s see if he can get his first title for his twin daughters.

There is only one day left at World Championships in Athletics. I’m looking forward to Mens 5000m event. Awesome Bekele is going for an unprecedented double 5k/10k victories. He already won the 10k.
