Reflections on the Grind

thoughts on training and life of an introvert

Capping off the week

Woke up with tired legs. So I took the morning off to rest them. I even brought a meal from home for lunch, so that I didn’t have to walk to KU.

Had a solid run in the evening. Pretty happy about it. In fact, I’m pleased with all the runs in these past 5 days. Today, the rain made the route void of people. So it was more peaceful than usual, which was nice.

I used to think about bunch of random stuff during the runs. It used to be the time of figuring things out, or unloading them out of my mind. These days, I find myself focusing more on the run itself, just reflecting on the present–my breathing, my legs, my arms–and not about work, people, the future, or other external stuff. Running has become my meditation time.
