Reflections on the Grind

thoughts on training and life of an introvert

Last week (13-19 Sep) was good (2 tempo days, 4 easy days, and 1 day off). On that one day off, I stayed on my feet and walked for an hour.

This week (20-26 Sep) is also good. 2 solid days, 1 day at moderate effort, and 3 easy days. Did mile repeats on Thursday, which went very well.

Once it a while, it is good to do an all-out effort to see where I’m at. When I can do a little better than I used to be able to, I am happy.

There is still plenty of room to improve.

I have become more mindful about food. Been trying to eat something immediately after each run, so the body can recover more quickly. In this heat, I think it’s wise to take precaution.

  1. you’re going well at the moment rop. it’s good that you are re-fuelling soon after running, this will stop you depleting glycogen reserves and will make you stronger. congrats on a great month
