Watched second half of Barcelona vs. Villareal. A masterclass of possession football on display again. You can see that these guys enjoy playing together. The team is composed of half the Spanish national team. Add in several stars (Messi, Sanchez, Alves), proven solid players (Mascherano, Abidal, Keita) and a few young talents (Thiago, Afellay) and you have a pretty good team.

Thrilling day at Worlds last night. Alyson Felix vs Amantle Montsho was a highlight. Too bad Dayron Robles got disqualified in the 110m hurdles. The contact wasn’t intentional but it did impede Liu Xiang’s rhythm. Congrats to Jason Richardson on the gold.

One day to go in August. This month’s mileage is a little bit less than July. Routine is about the same. Nothing too exciting. I like it this way.
