Holidays

I like Bangkok during long holidays. Empty roads are something to cherish. So easy to get anywhere. Peaceful too.

The city had been hot for so long. Finally last night it rained. It was nice.

This Songkran we mostly do shopping, cooking, and eating. Clothes and shoes are getting old so I’m rebuilding the wardrobe. Researching and shopping for it have become my new mini hobby. In the kitchen, I’ve been trying to improve some basic dishes (scrambled eggs, roasted pork belly, stewed beef). Visited some nice restaurants, one for the first time (Wine Connection Bistro), and two old favorites (Waterside, Ristretto Caffè). There are so many nice eating places in Bangkok.

After five days off I’m ready to go back to work tomorrow.
