Tennis and broken things

Played tennis (backboard hitting) for the first time in years. Just for 20 min. I still suck but it was fun. Can’t remember last time I picked up the racket. I used to be very into tennis, buying rackets and shoes, and then reading reviews of rackets and shoes. Then I got into running, and also got pretty serious about it. Now I’m into lifting. I think I’m gonna stick with it for a long while.

I dropped an iPad yesterday and broke the screen. Months ago I dropped my phone and broke its screen. Years ago, I dropped a laptop and pretty much ruined it. In every case, the drop height wasn’t that great (less than 1 m) and the device was in some form of protection casing. Why are expensive gadgets made so flimsy? Anyhow, things break. That’s just nature. I didn’t really get upset about it. It just makes me less inclined to buy any new high-priced items. Just tired of things breaking down.

It’s Friday. Time to get strong, one rep at a time!
