I’m gonna try to write more this year. Let’s see how it goes.
I have always been interested in getting better. Understanding more stuff, running a faster time, cooking better food. In the past one and a half year or so, I have focussed on getting stronger. Many injuries and sickness slowed down the progress. I am still very much motivated.
What is improvement in weight lifting? It’s lifting more weight, lifting the same weight with more reps, and with better form. How to get better at it? Lift more. This year I am going to keep improving. I want to add about 10-20 kg to each lift.
No matter what your goal is, it’s important to know your limit. Get outside your comfort zone to grow, but don’t go too far or you will hurt yourself and then have to be on the sideline.
Patience will be rewarding. Small improvement everyday will be immense long term. Be consistent and smart and you will be successful. Embrace failures. Don’t try to find the perfect route. Learn from mistakes, that’s what fun about the journey.
