Reflections on the Grind

thoughts on training and life of an introvert

You have to focus. Don’t let yourself be pulled in all directions. Learn one thing at a time. Do one thing at a time. To make an improvement on something, you have to make it a habit. To build a new habit, you must do it (nearly) everyday.

There are two things I am doing nearly everyday: learning a new language and lifting weight. I find both fun. Both have measureable progress. Time is limited. I don’t watch TV or go out. However, as much as I try to minimize my interests (decluttering my mind), there are still plenty other things I am into. NBA, Barcelona FC, NFL, UFC, TV series and movies, reading philosophy, chess, video games are all fun to me. Social media like Facebook, instagram, Line, blogging, and browsing reddit also take a lot of my time. They are just something I do though, not my focus. They all have to take a back seat.
