Long way from home
Got no sleep during Bangkok-Frankfurt flight. Maybe it’s the coffee. Transit at Frankfurt required immigration check which took a long time and long walk. Good load-carry workout with my heavy backpack. I’m now over 10,000 km away from home.
No free Wi-Fi at the Frankfurt airport. So I had to play games to kill time. Sitting still with nothing to do is incredibly boring. The mind needs to be active to feel satisfied. The ability to pass the time is very important for keeping yourself from going crazy.
The flight to Marseilles was fully booked. I gave up my aisle seat to someone so he could sit with his wife. I took a middle seat. No big deal for a short 80-min flight. If I traveled with my wife I would want to sit with her too. The world would be nicer if people are nice to each other.
Marseille airport immigration was much less busy than Frankfurt. The bus ride to our hotel in Aix was pretty smooth. 25 min ride. We bought round trip tickets, totalling 27.6 eur.
We have the evening to rest before the meeting gets started tomorrow. The challenge now is to find something to eat in Aix. Most places are closed on Sundays.
