Home for a couple days
After getting home late last night, I had a good long sleep and then got up late. Refilled my battery. You need good sleep to be healthy, mentally and physically. A third of your life should be dedicated to quality sleep.
With all those bread and no exercise, I have gained a bit of weight from France. So today I was determined to get some lifting on. However, there was nothing very substantial. Light weights on the bench for several sets. The heat gives me a headache. It’s just not enjoyable to workout. It’s not enjoyable to do anything outside an air-conditioned room. This summer time makes me want to have a commercial gym membership.
Had dinner with family. Tomorrow I’m leaving for Korea for another 3-day meeting. These short trips are pretty draining. It’s no vacation at all. More importantly, it is not the best schedule for someone with a training goal. You can’t train, eat, or sleep well. But that’s life. Sometimes you have to do things you don’t really want to do. There are worse problems in the world than having to travel.
