Gifting is wasteful

with one comment

Day at the dentist. Never pleasant. Why evolution takes us to the point where we must have our teeth be routinely scraped and poked by electric devices to get rid of plaque I have no idea. It seems just unnatural.

Heavy rain this evening. Still hot. Changed our dinner plan. Ate at home instead.

House cleaning continues. Trying to get rid of things we don’t use. Today it’s plates. They take up so much space and just collect dust. We have never used most of them, as they are too many.

They were gifts from our relatives. This is why I don’t like gifts. The ones who buy don’t get to use the things, while the receivers usually don’t really want them. Gift buying is a wasteful way to spend money. If I really want something, I buy it.

  1. We usually give food or alcohol. That way it will be used.
