Continual improvement

Having a target gives life focus and meaning. Goal is meant to be challenging. A good goal should make you work for it. You won’t reach it in one day. Make an effort to improve everyday. Lift a bit more or with a better form than yesterday. Run a little farther. Learn new words. Teach yourself a new concept or subject each day. Soon, progress will be quite difficult. Mental toughness is what will keep you going. 

Strive for slow but continual improvement. Stick to it. When you look back you will see you have come pretty far from where you started.
