Reflections on the Grind

thoughts on training and life of an introvert

Our big prep

Today was a storm indeed. Long meeting to finalize things, phone calls, emails. Things that required immediate response. There were also reports to write and documents to sign. The time went by very quickly. It was productive but felt inefficient. So much effort, budget, and manhours have been spent on this project, and I personally don’t see the clear outcome.

We seem to be trying to impress a lot of people. The higher-ups. But we don’t seem to love what we do and what our organization stands for. We are trying to build an image outside without strengthening our substance inside.

When you lose sight of where you want to go, you may get lost in the detail the work. In the end you may get things done, but you barely get closer to your grand goal.

I still have that, in the end, something good will come out of it. But I think that, add we are prepping, we should feel happier and more united when working on a big project such as this.
