Reflections on the Grind

thoughts on training and life of an introvert

One should have to work for what one wants. Nobody is entitled anything on life. If you make yourself dependent on government handouts or charitable donations you already lose at life.

Life is tough, and that’s the way it should be. Freebies that come your way have to be taken out, forcibly, of someone else’s pocket. That’s a communist, not a free society.

Crying for $15 per hour minimum wage is stupid. You are not entitled to be paid anything up front. The business’s performance should be what determines that. Minimum wage jobs don’t require much skill, so that’s why they minimum wages. By trying to raise minimum wage, you force the business not to employ you. It just doesn’t make sense to overpay employees. It’s nothing personal, just business. Now the minimum wage jobs, which used to be for new workforce, are being replaced by robots and automation. Unemployment rises.

Businesses exist to make money, not to give you jobs. Lose the sense of entitlement or lose your employment. You have no right to demand what the business owners pay you. The market dictates your worth. Nobody is obligated to give you anything in this world.
