It’s almost over. 2016. New beginning. Continuation of this short life. Here’s to another year full of PB’s. I’m a beast and will live like one. I will work hard and be consistent to be the best I can be.
I might die this year. No day will be wasted on things I don’t care about. My remaining days in this earth go down everyday. I can’t waste time pleasing other people.
Your life is valuable. Talk less, do more. Be less distracted, be more focused. Care less about bullshit, zero in more toward your goal.
Don’t let yourself forget how many doctors have died, after furrowing their brows over how many deathbeds.
How many astrologers, after pompous forecasts about others’ ends.
How many philosophers, after endless disquisitions on death and immortality.
How many warriors, after inflicting thousands of casualties themselves.
How many tyrants, after abusing the power of life and death atrociously, as if they were themselves immortal.
In short, know this: Human lives are brief and trivial. Yesterday a blob of semen; tomorrow embalming fluid, ash.
To pass through this brief life as nature demands. To give it up without complaint.
Like an olive that ripens and falls.
Praising its mother, thanking the tree it grew on.
— Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
Start training with resistance bands today. It’s a new kind of challenge.
Weight is down to 72 kg. Still the belly doesn’t seem to get any smaller.
Don’t get attached to anything. Live in the moment and always be mindful.
Get smarter everyday. Use your wisdom to learn facts and detach feelings from the truths. Grow your mind and expand your horizon.
The most important goal in your limited time on this earth is the pursuit of your own happiness. Keep asking yourself whether you should be doing the things you’re doing. You should neither sacrifice yourself to others, nor ask others to sacrifice themselves for you. Don’t waste your life trying to please others.
Never try to control others, and refuse to be controlled by anyone. You are free to do anything you like, as long as it doesn’t physically harm others. It’s called freedom. Freedom of expression, freedom of thoughts, freedom of action. Protect yours.
You are here now, but can be gone at any moment. Make sure to live your life the way you really want.
Lead your life with wisdom, not commandments. Come up with your own rules.
Don’t follow a doctrine blindly.
Ignore your parents, relatives, and friends. Find your own path.
No one is faultless. Question everything.
Create your own philosophy. Disregard religions.
Challenges make you grow. Embrace the challenges. Those who cower in fear are afraid to fail. Be wise. Understand that failing is part of being alive. It’s the learning process. Your life is filled with events, like a book with stories. In the end, nobody cares if it’s a perfect book.
Those who fail after those with courage to try new things. Those who don’t fail are cowards who never try anything. Winners are those who don’t stop when they fail. They don’t quit because others laugh at them. If you care about what people think you already lose.
To accomplish something big, you must first dare to dream big, and then plan carefully. Be realistic and try sincerely to reach your goal. Use your wisdom to come up with a plan that is actually promising. You can fool other people but you cannot fool yourself. If you fool yourself, your plan will suck and you will never succeed.
Dare to dream. Dare to be different. Dare to fail. Have a life full of failures instead of fears. You learn from failures. Be courageous in doing the right things. Don’t get too down on yourself when things don’t go your way. Be moderate in your feelings. Identify external factors and distance your feeling from it.
Your dream is yours. If you always try to please others, you are weak-willed and your life will be wasted. Each day must serve as a stepping stone for you to get closer to your dream.
