Coffee and me

leave a comment »

Been drinking coffee more lately. As a result, I got headaches and felt drowsy when not having one. It’s probably the caffeine withdrawal again. So, back to keeping coffee intake low. One or two cups a week. Once a day doesn’t work for me. I like the taste, but I don’t want to be dependent on it.

Recently recovered from stomach pain and fever, probably due to food poisoning. Went to emergency room at a local hospital. They gave me three types of medicines. I only took the drugs for three days. Just not comfortable about prolonged drug use. The body can heal itself in most cases.

Then last week I got urticaria from eating shrimps. Wasn’t too serious though. One antihistamine pill did the trick. I seem to get sick out of the blue all the time. Anyway, it doesn’t matter now. Back to jogging and eating normally.

I have stopped logging meals, again. One less thing to spend time on.

Been reading books and journaling more. Reading, writing, and cooking pretty occupy all my non-work time these days. Time is limited. Better spend it doing what you love. Why waste it doing things you don’t like?

A four day weekend is coming up. Most people are getting out of the city. I am staying home. All my runs have been all short intervals. Hoping to do a longer, slower run outdoor over the holidays. For peace and solitude.
